“All go to the same place–all come from dust and all return to dust.” – Ecc. 3:20

“For the living know that they are going to die, but the dead do not know anything” – Ecc 9:5

“Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to the life of the age to come and others to disgrace and contempt of the coming age.” – Dan 12:2

“Lazarus is asleep…Lazarus is dead” – John 11:11, 14

“Stephen fell asleep.” – Acts 7:60

“Now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.” – 1 Cor 15:20

“I don’t want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep” – 1 Thes. 4:13

“For, ever since the ancestors fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” -2 Pet. 3:4
